Czech boilers BLAZE HARMONY are also popular with Italians, the winter in the Apennines is usually hard

In the last issue of Komfortní teplíčko magazine, which is dedicated to comfortable heating with pellets, briquettes and other wood fuels, there was an article about a fresh reference and installation of our ecological wood boiler BLAZE GREEN in Italy. We bring you a transcript of this article with interesting information that will give you an insight into how they dealt with wood biomass heating in this southern European country.

BLAZE HARMONY boilers from Lipník nad Bečvou score points in Italy. You may also associate the Apennine Peninsula only with idyllic beaches and endless sunshine. But the geographical map shows that most of it is covered by mountain areas where you have to drown – the Dolomites dominate the north and the Apennines run through the middle for 1,200 kilometres. We report on the installation of the innovative BLAZE GREEN boiler in the mountainous areas south of San Marino.

The BLAZE GREEN wood gasifying boiler with an output of 24 kW impressed the Italian partners who sell the brand’s boilers on the Apennine Peninsula. It is a boiler with very low emission values, which are borderline measurable. “We have achieved these values thanks to several patents, especially the three-way air inlet and the new jet nozzle,” explains Jan Tihelka of BLAZE HARMONY.

The BLAZE GREEN boiler can burn wood and other types of wood fuels. Thanks to innovative technology, such as the three-way air intake, it is able to increase combustion efficiency and reduce emissions. The jet nozzle ensures excellent combustion and automatic ash removal into the combustion chamber. In addition, the boiler operates with unprecedentedly low electricity consumption.

FIVE STARS MEANS MORE GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY

It is thanks to these advantages that the BLAZE GREEN boiler has been awarded the 5 STELLE (5 stars) certification in Italy, which means that it belongs to the best emission class, for which there are the highest subsidies. While we have boiler subsidies and green savings, Italy has its own subsidy programme that distributes money from the European Union. It’s called ‘Superbonus 110’ and it works generously – people can deduct up to 110% of the cost of renovating their home and replacing their boiler from their taxes.

This Italian subsidy programme has succeeded in kick-starting renovations in many areas of Italy where, until now, local people did not have the money to have their ancient houses repaired. In Italy, even in the smallest villages, the buildings are often centuries old, sometimes thousands of years old. They often lacked not only ecological heating but also security against frequent earthquakes. The Superbonus 110 programme was also used by two brothers, owners of an old stone house in the village of Spinabeto in the province of Pesaro e Urbino. Here, too, history breathes on us at every turn. One of the region’s greatest tourist attractions is the Furlo Pass, which was carved out of the steep limestone cliffs by the Candigliano River. Along the river runs the ancient ‘Via Flaminia’ and to this day the tunnel of the Emperor Vespasian, dating from 76 AD, is still used.

THE BLAZE GREEN BOILER CAN ALSO HANDLE WOOD PELLETS

Of course, the generous Italian subsidy programme means a great opportunity not only for local people but also for boiler manufacturers from all over Europe. Boilers from Lipník nad Bečvou have been on the Italian market for a long time and are bravely competing with pellet stoves, for example, which traditionally sell the most in Italy of all European countries. Even the BLAZE GREEN boiler can be used to burn the much-loved pellets after adding a burner with a rotary combustion chamber. BLAZE HARMONY offers a boiler conversion kit that allows adaptation to the BLAZE GREEN COMBI wood-pellet combination boiler. The kit includes a rotary pellet burner, a door and an expansion module for burner operation control. “The customer can order the conversion kit right away, or even later, when he decides to indulge in the comfort of being able to burn cheap and available fuel – wood – and at the same time heat automatically with pellets,” explains Tihelka.

The conversion is very advantageous because it relieves the owner of the need to constantly add fuel to the boiler. If the wood burns out, the boiler automatically switches to heating with pellets, which it delivers directly from the hopper. This feature provides convenience and peace of mind as the house is heated whether you manage to add fuel or not. User comfort is further enhanced by remote management and monitoring of the boiler and heating system via the internet.

ITALIAN HEATING ENGINEERS GET TO KNOW CZECH BOILERS

“We already have an extensive distribution network in Italy with several dozen partners selling our products. They also promote our brand among Italian heating engineers because they like our innovations and direction,” says Tihelka. The Italian partners also came to see the installation of the BLAZE GREEN boiler in the village of Spinabeto to see what the boiler can do.

Experts from BLAZE HARMONY then carried out the installation and training, followed by a discussion on wood heating in Italy and the Czech Republic. On the table there was local wine and the famous Italian prosciutto. Thus, the awareness of the quality of technologies and products from the Czech Republic was spread a little further. Although the BLAZE HARMONY brand is completely new to many, it is winning customers with its innovative products and personal approach.

“And there are still some people abroad for whom the Czech Republic is also new. They are convinced that Czechoslovakia still exists,” smiles Jan Tihelka. BLAZE HARMONY is actively building its sales and service network throughout Europe. It brings warmth and comfort to every place where boilers from Lipník nad Bečvou arrive.
